Design and architecture have to act as a change agent, as a tool for facing global challenges and generating solutions to improve the quality of life of our communities. A security cabin marks the entry and first visual connect with any structure, the design team planned for an out of the box, eye-catching security cabin, to give a new poetic meaning to the simple structure. The security cabin marks the entrance of holistically planned display centre and warehouse, in a 1,10,000 sft plot.
The design team adopted star shaped layout for the tensile fabric veil, taking inspiration from Dravidian style temple Architecture. The inner structure is simple rectangular RCC framed structure, with large corner opening. The outer wrap of tensile fabric is for visual attention and space interest. The outer skin is amalgamation of parametric architecture, represented by an organic skin formed by tensile fabric, using the parametric tools, which display and perform the form of "flower" by digital means, that strive to demonstrate its aesthetic value, to break the barrier of traditional paradigm, the rationality of thought, and to create its own language through technological development. Parabolic twist attains a constant interaction with its surroundings, and as it blends in with the public space, it also holds a living oasis, in on the roof, symbolism is exalted and gives the inmates the capacity to connect with the natural environment. The hanging garden on the plastic trellis reduces the heat gain.
The base structure for the flower shaped backlit tensile fabric is Mild steel framework.The work consists of 70 hollow steel boxes as structural locating nodes and a simple supporting structure system welded by 266 steel tubes with different numbered lengths. The rhombus shaped mesh pattern on tensile fabric forms the outer base of the structural surface. The visual connect from both sides is carved out by opening up the tensile fabric structure.
A feeling of dynamism and surreal beauty is imbibed every phase of the visitor experience.
